Through collaborative design concepts from international experts, BYD SkyShuttle has been developed to tackle urban congestion and transit challenges by effectively integrating SkyShuttle into the urban environment.

BYD SkyShuttle is the world's only battery electric, medium capacity, driverless people mover that incorporates all of the features needed for rigorous urban transit application.




CHARGING SYSTEM

On-line charging is done in stations through inductive or conductive connections, extending the range by 1km for every 30 seconds of charge, thereby enabling continuous operation. Offline arrangement is also available on tail tracks behind terminus stations, or at storage depots.

SkyShuttle moves into the station, and stops at the charging area.

The conductive connector moves downward, connects with the SkyShuttle, then starts charging the battery.









FAST CONSTRUCTION
PROCESS

Pre-fabrication and production line construction of major station elements, track beams, and columns greatly reduces time. Complete systems may be open to the public in less than one to two years.

Used as foundations typically. Drilled piles normally not needed construction noise.





2Columns and Structure Types

Cranes lift the columns and place them inside the shaft.

Cranes hoist the beams onto the columns.
